All Alba Botanica® sunscreens strictly adhere to the requirements of the U.S. Food & Drug Administration (FDA) and contain FDA-approved sunscreen active ingredients. Our mineral sunscreens contain only mineral sunscreen active ingredients (titanium dioxide and/or zinc oxide) which provide a physical barrier to ultra-violet radiation. Our non-mineral sunscreens contain sunscreen active ingredients that absorb ultra-violet radiation.
All our mineral and non-mineral sunscreens are biodegradable and avoid the use of oxybenzone, PABA, Vitamin A, and nano-particles. We remind all consumers to use sunscreens as directed and to use other sun protection measures, including limiting exposure to the sun, especially between 10 am and 2 pm.
